When the guest is ready to pay, you find their ticket, take the payment and, if they wrote a tip on the slip, add it afterwards. This guide also covers going back into a closed ticket to fix or void it.
1. Find the ticket from the tables screen or the open tickets list.
2. Tap Pay, the hand holding cash (Figure 1).

Figure 1. Pay is at the bottom left of the order screen
3. Choose Cash, Credit Card, Gift Card or Other (Figure 2), and follow the prompts.

Figure 2. The payment window. NEED is what is still owed
To change or edit a payment already taken, tap its amount on the payment window (Figure 3).

Watch out: only for tips written on the slip
You only adjust tips when the customer writes the tip on the receipt. If your card machines ask the customer for the tip, it is already in the system and you can skip this.
1. Tap Shifts, top right.
2. Tap My Tips.
3. Tap a card transaction and type the tip on the keypad (Figure 4). Repeat for each one.

Figure 4. My Tips. Tap a row, then type its tip
4. Tap Process, at the bottom.
While tips process, the card machines are busy. Other stations may have to wait to run cards, and they are told so if it happens.
1. Tap Tools, top of the screen, then History (Figure 5).
2. Select the closed ticket.
3. Tap Void at the bottom to void it, or Edit to change the payment or reopen the ticket.
4. If you reopened it, change the items as needed and take the payment again.
