Finding your way around tables and tickets

Two screens tell you what is going on in the room: the tables screen, which shows every table and what state its order is in, and the tickets screen, which lists every open ticket. This guide explains how to read both.

The tables screen

Each table is drawn in its place in the room (Figure 1). The outline tells you its state:

• White outline: the table still has an open ticket.

• Red outline: something on the order is being held and has not been made yet.

• Green outline: the check (the presenter) has been taken to the table.

• Grey table: it belongs to another server.

• A number in brackets: that many split tickets on the table.

From here you can also:

• start a To Go order

• add another ticket to a table that already has one, with Add to Table

• tap Table, bottom left of the order screen, to come back here at any time

To move a ticket to a different table, tap the table number shown on the ticket (Figure 2).

Chairs

Every table has a set number of seats. Use the Chair button in the toolbar to put each item on a guest's chair (Figure 3). It makes splitting the check much faster later. To seat more people than the table normally holds, pick a higher chair number in the Chair window.

The tickets screen

Tap the multicolored ticket button to open the tickets screen (Figure 4). It has two tabs: My Tickets, and All Tickets if you have permission to see everyone's.

The symbol beside each ticket tells you what it is:

• Arrow: a To Go order

• $: partly paid

• Printer: the check has gone to the customer and is waiting for payment

• Hold: an item on it is on hold

• Note pad: an ordinary open ticket

Tap the magnifier to search for a ticket by number, table, customer, employee and more.
