Splitting and merging tickets

When a table wants separate checks, you split the ticket. You can move items one by one, split evenly, or split by seat. Merging does the opposite and lets you move items between tickets.

Open the split screen

1. On the order screen, tap more at the bottom.

2. Tap Split/Merge.

The original ticket is on the left. The ticket items will move to has a target symbol in its header (Figure 1).

Move items by hand

1. Tap New Ticket to make another ticket to move items onto. Tap the words New Ticket on a ticket to move the target to it.

2. Tap an item to move it to the target ticket.

3. Repeat until every guest's items are on their own ticket (Figure 2).

Split evenly or by seat

Even Split does not make new tickets. It divides the total and prints several checks (presenters) for the server.

Split by Seat splits the ticket by chair, if chairs were assigned when the order was taken. It is the quickest split there is, which is a good reason to use chairs.

Merge tickets

Merge Ticket lets you open other tickets and move items back and forth between them.

Save or cancel

• The green check mark on a new ticket saves that ticket and prints its check. It also makes room for another, if you need more than four.

• The green check mark at the bottom saves every change and prints all the new checks.

• The red X cancels without changing anything.

Split tickets then show in the ticket list and on the tables screen.
